Mash has
Beer...
Sort of
Ok, so we dont have an actual commercial brewery over here at Mash. In fact, using the term "homebrewery" would also be somewhat of an overstatement. But we have beer.
Over the past 10 years I've been known to brew some basic, limited (amateur) batches. I brewed my first batch in 2014 with my dad as a fun experimental project and we enjoyed it so much, we started brewing small batches annually for the next few years. In 2015 I brewed, named, branded and worked with a photographer to shoot my second beer release, which gained some exposure on design blogs, print publications, and award competitions. This eventually led to my first commercial beer design gig! The following year I continued this "brew & brand" routine, and the design work for that beer was published in a hardcover book about retro graphic design.
It's been a while since my last batch, but in 2022 I earned a certification in Craft Brewing from Cornell as part of their Food & Plant Science certification program. Being a mostly knowledge-based program, my hope is to apply this new education to a growing interest in brewing. The combination of this interest, along with the launch of Mash Collab, has led me to brand and create new packaging for my entire line of beer products (previous to present day). This serves as a brand design showcase under the Mash umbrella, and I hope to one day grow this initiative into something more...
